A: The County Clerk is responsible for conducting elections and maintaining voter registrations, recording and filing records including titles, liens and leases, issues marriage licenses, collects fees for liquor licenses and applications, records minutes from County Commisssion, Zoning and Administration meetings, files and records maps and plats.
Q: If I was convicted of a felony can I vote again?
A: Yes, as long you have completed all parts of your sentence and submit a Certificate of Discharge from the Department of Corrections to the County Clerk's Office.
Q: What is a provisional ballot?
A: If a voter can not be found on the rolls, they will be allowed to vote on a provisional ballot. Once the provisional ballot is verified true and correct then the vote will count.
